Candie's Story

I have Bipolar 1 with psychosis. I take Abilify which really helps me. They took me off my medication during pregnancy, and after I had my baby, the doctor did not warn me about postpartum. I got mad at the baby’s dad two weeks after I had my baby. Her dad was saying the baby didn’t belong to him, and I saw myself grab the baby and take a bite out of her face, then give the dead baby to her dad. I had no control over my body. I really thought I had killed my baby, but she was fine. I did not do any of the stuff I saw myself doing. It was like watching a movie.
