Miranda Arakelian, BA
Clinical Research Coordinator
Miranda Arakelian graduated from Columbia University in 2017 with a B.A. in Sociology and German Literature and Culture. She spent one year of undergraduate at the Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany, where she became fluent in German and studied social sciences. Miranda’s academic interests focused on the intersection of gender and education, and her thesis on the barriers facing women pursuing advanced math education received departmental honors. After graduation, Miranda lived in Berlin for one more year as a Fulbright Fellow before returning to Boston to enroll in a post-bacc program at Harvard Extension School. At MGH, Miranda works on studies of postpartum psychosis and treatment outcomes for postpartum depression. Additionally, she is a certified yoga teacher and volunteers as a medical advocate for survivors of sexual assault. After her time at MGH she plans to attend medical school.
